Since 1979, when the Foundation was established, donors have helped to create a charitable endowment of over ten million dollars, the income from which supports non-profit organizations, community projects and scholarships, today and into the future. More than one million dollars has been contributed to projects, primarily those that support health, education, the arts, social services and West Vancouver's physical environment.
The West Vancouver Community Foundation (WVCF) is pleased to be offering the Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation Grant Program for 2017. These additional grants will be specifically focused on and designed to facilitate belonging, inclusion, reconciliation and connection within the local community and to celebrate Canada through engaging community initiatives, activities and events. We thrive on leading change in the community.
The grant application can be submitted for project funding up to $15,000 – 50% of this will be funded from WVCF and 50% will be matched by the Community Foundations of Canada.
As of December 1, applications must be submitted online through www.cfc150.fluidreview.com and will be accepted until January 16, 2017. Once the application has been completed, the WVCF will be notified and will determine eligibility for funding. The process will be completed very quickly and we encourage you to apply now for this exciting opportunity!
If the grant application is not funded through the Canada 150 process, it will automatically be included in the regular WVCF grant application process which closes February 15, 2017.
