Young Adults Helping U is the Youth Philanthropy Council of the West Vancouver Community Foundation and is dedicated to supporting youth involved in community projects in West Vancouver by promoting volunteerism and philanthropy. They work to establish a Youth Endowment fund, from which will provide grants to youth projects in the community.
ENHANCE …. the quality of life for youth in West Vancouver.
SUPPORT …. programs which encourage dignity, inclusiveness, equality, and empathy for all.
CREATE ….. opportunities to enhance the self-esteem, leadership skills, and life skills of youth.
ENCOURAGE … volunteerism, citizenship, community involvement and philanthropy by youth.
To apply for a grant from YAHU, you must have charitable status, or be sponsored by an organization that is registered as a charity. This may be a school, service club,church or other community group. Sponsors must be willing to assume the legal and financial responsibility for the project and grant.
